Ron Crane (General Manager & Tour Guide). Graduate of The Wine Industry Association of Western Australia and The Australian Society of Wine Education with 21 Years in the tourist industry.
Ron has experienced Stellenbosch and Groote Constantia in Cape Town, South Africa, CastilloBanfi in Tuscany, Italy and the major wine regions of Australia.

With this knowledge and experience Ron has combined with Steve Conner (Awarded by Queen Elizabeth for excellence in food nutrition) and put together these two exciting tours. Firstly reviving that old English tradition of High Tea in the Swan Valley and secondly combining award winning winery’s with an excellent Vineyard Platter with Wine Chocolate & Roses. These tours are quality all the way with a balanced combination of fine wines and matching food.
The Swan Valley is Western Australia’s Oldest World Class wine region. No need to travel 700km in a day to Margaret River or take tours that taste wine and beer together (compatible as oil and water) with unbalanced taste it all menus.
In 2000 Ron decided to stop the promotion arm and start in the
day tour business and developed two very successful tours as well
as continuing the private charter business. Thus the 6in1 series
of two tours started.
The two tours being his 6in1 Aussie Super Bonanza Day
Tour and his 6in1 Evening Entertainer Night Tour
which in 2002 became the 6in1 Perth and Fremantle Evening
Tour.
In 2003 after much pushing from concierges from
the major hotels in Perth he introduced his third day tour,
the Wine Chocolate and Roses Tour. The unique thing about Westbound Australia tours is the personalised
attention to service and detail. Taking passengers back to their
home for an Aussie Barbecue and making his own Ron’s
Apple Pie served after the barbecue.
As they enter into their 10th Year they continue to provide a
second to none service to our clients, with every detail given
to making each tour a unique Australian experience for their customers.

Few Words About Us |

Westbound Australia Was founded by
Ron Crane in 1998 having worked in his family business Safari
Treks since 1989. In 1998 the family decided to wind down their
tourist operations so Ron left the business and started his
own.
Initially Westbound Australia was an information based company
promoting Western Australian tourism product in Singapore as well
as running private charter tours for Singaporean Families and business
incentives.
