A relaxing 20 minute drive to the Swan Valley, to visit 5 Boutique Wineries, a Chocolate Factory and to the Darling Ranges (Perth Hills) to the beautiful Heritage Rose Gardens. Wine growing started in 1829 by English botanist Thomas Waters, who got his rootstock en-route from the Groote Constantia vineyards in Cape Town, South Africa. Winning our first International Medal in 1878 at a wine show in Paris France, the Swan Valley is Australia’s Premium Wine Region.

Enjoy World Class Wines with tastings of premium Red, White, Fortified and Sparkling Wines (Champagne), made from major grape varieties. Meet the Wine Makers (when available) as we follow the history of the Swan Valley by English settlers and European migrants.

Visit a Chocolate Factory and luncheon, a Vineyard Platter of cheese, pate, smoked salmon, chicken, roast beef, marinated vegetables, salad, fresh fruit, crackers, crustini and bread rolls at the famous Valley View Restaurant. Visit Houghton Winery, their White Classic, formally White Burgundy, Australia’s most Celebrated wine, the First Australian Wine to make the wine list of the House of Common’s in London, (a bottle will be raffled on each tour).

Onto the Darling Ranges and the hills village of Kalamunda to the Heritage Rose Gardens. Trellises of Roses, Bird Baths and a Pond of Colourful Japanese Kio. Return to your hotel around 4:30pm.
